MACOMB, IL -- It's time to rally, Leathernecks! Tweet #WIUEDU #STANLEYSecurity, text wiuedu to 334455 and vote online at stanleysaferschools.com and help Western Illinois University move back in to first place. As of this morning (Jan. 26), Western has moved to the #2 spot on the tier 2 leaderboard, after holding the #1 spot since voting opened one week ago.

Through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, students, alumni, friends, faculty and staff are encouraged to vote for WIU each and every day as part of the STANLEY Security Together for Safer Schools grant.

The top two schools that receive the most votes in each category will receive grants of security products and services from STANLEY Security. Western is in category two (8,000-19,999 students). The first place school will receive a $150,000 safety grant, with the second place school receiving a $50,000 grant.

"The dollars awarded from this grant would go a long way at Western" said WIU Office of Public Safety Director Scott Harris. "We appreciate the support of our campus community, friends and alumni voting every day, and in every way possible, to keep WIU on top."

Winners will be announced by STANLEY Security March 3. Grant funds can be used for any STANLEY Security products, technologies, solutions, services and installation. This can include video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, key systems and more.
