MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Performing Arts Society (PAS) will host its ninth annual "Dueling Diamonds and Denim" fundraiser featuring a dueling pianos band on Friday, Aug.14.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Forum, located in downtown Macomb.

The event includes a raffle to win a pair of diamond earrings, valued at $4,000. Sue Melton, owner of Diamond Den in downtown Macomb, is donating the earrings. This year will be the first year that the event has raffled earrings. In the previous years, Diamond Den has donated a one-caret, diamond ring.

This year, the event will have a new entertainer. "176 Keys Fun Pianos" will provide this year's entertainment. The dueling piano band is known for it's "infectious" way of getting people to dance and interact.

"We bring the party to you and we bring the party OUT OF YOU," is the band's slogan.

Admission is $10 and raffle tickets are $5 each, three for $10 or 10 for $20 and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (309) 298-1618. Admission tickets can also be purchased in Macomb at Diamond Den, Citizens Bank, The Barbershop, Nelson's Clothing, MidAmerica National Bank and at the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
