WIU's Summer Art Program

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University is offering a summer program for students in grades 4-8. The program, "Art for Gifted and Talented Students," will take place June 12-17 for grades 4-6, and June 19-24, for grades 6-8.

The program is designed to stimulate and challenge gifted and talented students in an intensive week of art study. Students will have daily opportunities to expand their skills and explore new ideas. Extracurricular activities include swimming, indoor/outdoor games and movies. The topics that students will explore include drawing, painting, airbrush, computer art and three-dimensional expression.

Enrollment is limited and is on a first-come, first served basis. The residential fee is $445, and the commuter rate is $395. Parents who wish to use a payment plan may send a $100 deposit at the time of registration. Fifty-percent of the fee is due at 60 days prior to the program, and full payment is due 30 days prior.
