Behind the bricks and mortar, there are the people of Western Illinois University and the Macomb community.

Who I Am: I am JD Gravina, and though I'm originally from Kansas City, MO, Macomb is definitely my HOME. I'm a father who encourages his daughter to be adventurous, fun loving, and caring ... and I have a newborn baby boy. I married a small town girl from Shelbina, MO, and I have two amazing rescue dogs!

What I Do: I'm the Head Women's Basketball Coach at WIU. I am blessed with the opportunity to coach great young ladies who are examples for young girls in the community.

Why I Love WIU? I absolutely love the people here. Nothing is better than spending time with community members who love this University and town. I love being at the grocery store or a restaurant and people calling me 'coach' and asking about our team. I love the feeling of camaraderie between the coaches and staff at the University. WIU truly is a special place!

I am a husband and father who loves spending time with family, friends, my basketball team, and helping people achieve their goals and dreams.

What I Do: I just finished my second year as Men's Basketball Head Coach at WIU

Why I Love WIU: Great people, great opportunities, and collective support!
