MACOMB, IL – High school senior Kory Eaton, of Somonauk, IL, has been awarded a Western Illinois University President's Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room and meal plan at the school.

"I chose Western because it is a mix of diversity, small town charm, academics and the opportunity to run track," said Eaton.

At Western, Eaton plans to major in computer science. While at Western, he plans to participate in track and field.

In high school, Eaton participated in basketball, track and National Honor Society.

To qualify for the WIU President's Scholarship, students must have a minimum ACT score of 32 and have already received WIU's Centennial Commitment Scholarship. The scholarship decision is also weighted by the proof of volunteer and community service.
