WIU to Host Graduate Research Conference Friday

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University School of Graduate Studies will host its fourth annual University-wide Graduate Research Conference from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday, March 3 in the University Union.

The event will include:

• Poster sessions from 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom

• Performance sessions from 2-3:15 p.m. in the Sandburg Theatre

• Concurrent podium sessions from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 12:15-1:45 p.m. in the Fox, Cardinal/Oak and Algonquin rooms and Board rooms.

At 3:30 p.m., in the Sandburg Theatre, WIU Associate Professor of Communication Christopher Carpenter will deliver the keynote address, "You Don't Have to be a Mad Scientist: Issues in Deciding What Kind of Researcher You Want to Be."

The event will wrap-up at 4:30 p.m. with an awards reception in the Sandburg Lounge.
