WIU BOT Elects Officers

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees (BOT) elected officers for July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 at its June 9 meeting.

Cathy Early, a State Farm agent from Macomb, was re-elected for a second term as chair; Steve Nelson, an attorney and shareholder with Califf and Harper in Moline (IL), was elected vice chair; and Roger Clawson, a State Farm agent in Moline, was re-elected to a second term as secretary.

Other board members include Yvonne Savala, who works for the executive offices of KJWW Engineering; Todd Lester, community president of Citizen's Bank of Macomb, a division of Morton Community Bank and a Western alumnus; Carolyn Ehlert Fuller of Milan (IL), retired from Deere & Company as executive director of Public Affairs & Program Support, Public Affairs Worldwide; and alumnus Lyneir Cole, a child welfare specialist with Seguin Services in Cicero.

Wil Gradle, a 2017 economics graduate and current economics graduate student, was re-elected by the student body to serve as Western's Board of Trustees student representative from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
