WIU to Host Press Events June 14 at Macomb, QC to Discuss President's Initiatives and University Strategic Plan

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- On Wednesday, June 14, members of the Western Illinois University community and area residents are invited to attend press events on the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses, where WIU President Jack Thomas will present the President's Executive Institute (PEI) and Strategic Plan Supplement (SPS) initiatives and goals.

The Macomb campus event will be held from 10:30-11 a.m. in the Tri State Public Radio Performance Studio (northeast section of campus). Parking is available in the building's south​ and east lots. The Quad Cities campus event will be held from 2:30-3 p.m. in Riverfront Hall, rooms 103/104.

The Macomb e​vent will also be live streamed to the University's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/wiu.edu/ and WIU YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/WesternIllinoisU, while the QC event will be live streamed to the WIU-QC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WIU.QC/ and WIU YouTube channel. ​

Thomas, along with Vice President of Quad Cities and Planning Joe Rives, will share the University's continued progress for the future. Thomas, Rives and members of the leadership team will be available for interviews following the presentation.

"I look forward to sharing the executive institute's and strategic plan's initiatives, and our mission and goals for the future of Western Illinois University," noted Thomas.
