MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University's Iota Omicron chapter of Sigma Chi has been awarded the Peterson Significant Chapter Award for the second year in a row and the sixth time in chapter history.

The award, presented Aug. 5, shines light on chapters that showcase excellent performance on a variety of activities as recognized by the fraternity, and is the fraternity's symbol of dedication, idealism and achievement.

"For Sigma Chi, winning a Peterson award is something that all chapters strive for," said Chapter President Matthew Hutchison of the Iota Omicron chapter. "It shows that our brothers here are committed to their obligations and being held to a higher standard."

Balfour LTW is an annual training workshop undergraduate chapters can attend to develop skills that will be implemented in their home chapters during the upcoming year. It is the biggest workshop of any national Panhellenic Greek organization.
