Homecoming Choir Showcase Sept. 30 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – A showcase of Western Illinois University choirs will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

"Long Days, Short Years" will include performances by the University Singers, Madrigal Singers, Concert Choir and the University's 60-voice Alumni Choir. The event will include a diverse array of choral music which address the passing and perception of time, including some of WIU Professor of Music James Stegall's favorite works. Stegall will retire in 2018 after 29 years of service to the University.

The Madrigal Singers, University Singers and Alumni Choir will be conducted by Stegall, and the Concert Choir will be conducted by WIU Music Instructor Jason Hawkins.
