Development Day for University Employees Dec. 1

MACOMB, IL – The inaugural Western Illinois University Development Day, presented by WIU Human Resources Talent Management and University Housing and Dining Services, will be held from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in the University Union.
"Power of the Past: Force of the Future" will showcase talent across the University community, including speakers from the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses and from the Macomb community, and will offer the opportunity to learn, network and share ideas throughout the day through 25 breakout sessions to choose from. The sessions follow five tracks: wellness and balance; instructional; leadership and supervision; WIU and beyond; retention and inclusion and networking.
The schedule for the conference includes:
• 8 a.m. – Coffee and networking
• 8:20 a.m. – Welcome and Keynote speech
• 9 a.m. – Session Block 1
• 9:55 a.m. – Session Block 2
• 10:50 a.m. – Session Block 3
• 11:35 a.m. – Lunch
• 1:05 p.m. – Session Block 4
• 2 p.m. – Session Block 5
• 2:55 p.m. – Closing speaker – WIU Associate Vice President for Student Services Jason Woods
• 3:15 p.m. – Awards and closing remarks
This event is open free to all University employees, and employees can choose to attend all or some of the sessions. Lunch will be provided free of cost, as well. Seating is limited, so early registration is recommended.
