Western Leader Applications Now Being Accepted

MACOMB, IL -- Numerous Western Illinois University Student Services offices are now accepting applications for current students to become Western Leaders.

Applications are open for the positions of admissions ambassador, desk assistant, orientation leader, resident assistant, summer assistant, student judicial board representative and turning point peer mentor. Offices hiring through the Western Leader recruitment process include Undergraduate Admissions & Orientation, University Housing and Dining Services, Student Judicial Programs and the Disability Resource Center.

Information on each position and the application can be found at bit.ly/WIULeader (students must log into the Purple Post to see job descriptions). Applications will close Jan. 29, with interview taking place on Feb. 9. Students can apply for multiple positions to be considered for the interview process.

Students interested in learning more about the positions are encouraged to intend an information social at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, noon Tuesday, Jan. 18, 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 or 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25. All information socials will take place in the University Union Brattain Lounge

Summer assistants and orientation leaders will be employed for Summer 2018, with all other positions beginning Fall 2018.
