Annette Davila Retirement Reception

MACOMB, IL - A retirement reception for Western Illinois University Financial Aid Assistant Director Annette Davila will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 in the Sherman Hall third floor auditorium.

Davila began her WIU career in 1993 as an admissions/records officer I for the Registrar's Office. In 1994, she was promoted to admissions/records officer II, and in October 1996, she was reclassified and promoted to microcomputer specialist II.

In 1997, Davila moved to Administrative Information Management Systems (AIMS) when she was promoted to an applications programmer I. She continued post-bachelor's degree work in computer science. 

Davila progressed to an applications programmer II in 2003 and an applications programmer III in 2007, serving as primary applications/system operator to the Financial Aid Office. In January 2008, Davila was named Civil Service Employee of the Month.

According to Davila's nominators "her diligence and dedication to getting the job done efficiently and accurately is worthy of recognition."

Davila was promoted to applications analyst in 2010 and then senior applications analyst in 2012. In January 2016, she became assistant director for systems development, planning and fiscal management for the Financial Aid Office.

Davila will retire Dec. 31, after serving WIU for 25 years.
