WIU School of Music Presents Guest Recital Feb. 18

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a guest recital, featuring Xin Gao, saxophonist, and pianist Byunghee Yoo, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
 
Xin Gao, from Chengdu, China, currently serves as assistant professor of saxophone and music theory at Truman State University. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across the U.S., as well as in Asia. 

Pianist Byunghee Yoo, a native of South Korea, is a collaborative artist and chamber musician. She has performed throughout the United States, South Korea and Italy, including appearances at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, Seoul Arts Center and the Sejong Center.

The duo will perform works by Handel, Decruck, Chen Yi, B. Cockroft and M. Kilstofte.
