Pettigrew Named February Advisor of the Month

​MACOMB, IL – Ron Pettigrew, an academic advisor in Distance Education Support at Western Illinois University, has been named the Advisor of the Month for February.

Pettigrew was nominated for the honor by a student.

"Throughout my time at WIU, Ron has advised me on the MBA program and curriculum," the student said. "Now that I am two classes away from graduation, he has advised me on the MBA program and curriculum. Even though this is outside of his normal duties, he has broken down the procedure and put me through to the right personnel to begin my application process. I would like to thank Ron for his absolute attention in addressing my matters."

Each month a WIU advisor will be honored with a certificate and trophy. Award winners are decided by a committee that considers the applications each month.
