Bruketta to Perform Senior Recital March 23

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a senior recital, featuring student bassist Nick Bruketta, at 5 p.m. Friday, March 23 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall. He will perform with Brian Backer, baritone saxophone, a senior music major from St. Charles, IL; and Jason Hartley, guitar, a senior music major from Milan, IL.
Bruketta, a senior music major from Peoria, IL, is from the studio of Professor Matthew Hughes and performs this recital in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz performance.
The program includes:
• "If it Ain't There" - Nick Bruketta
• "If Sleep Could Be As Dreamy" - Nick Bruketta
• "Stolen Moments" - Oliver Nelson
• "Fairy Bird" - Nick Bruketta / Tadd Dameron
• "In A Sentimental Mood" - Duke Ellington
• "A State of Regression" - Nick Bruketta
