Christopher Izzo Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A memorial mass for Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus Christopher Izzo will be held at 11:30 a.m. today (Friday, March 23) at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA. A visitation will be held at the church at 10 a.m.
Izzo passed away Monday, March 19 in Louisiana.
He was hired by WIU in August 1970 and retired in July 1983. He served as a professor of music, director of bands and chair of the WIU music department.
Izzo is survived by his wife, Terri, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
