UHDS Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication Interviews

MACOMB, IL – Interviews for the University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) assistant director of marketing and communication will be held Aug. 28, Aug. 29, and Aug. 31.

Kirsten Todd, marketing and communication graduate assistant, UHDS, and Mariah Huston, chief clerk, WIU Department of Engineering Technology, will interview Tuesday, Aug. 28; Jennifer Byers, former director of sales and marketing, Grand Prairie Assisted Living in Macomb, and Lindsay Douglas, legislative aide, Quincy, IL, will interview Wednesday, Aug. 29; and Gail Ault, office manager, WIU, will interview Friday, Aug. 31. Open sessions will be held: Todd, 9 a.m., Seal Hall Basement Conference Room; Huston, 1:15 p.m., Seal Hall Basement Conference Room; Byers, 9 a.m.. Union Cardinal-Oak Room; Douglas, 1:15 p.m., Union Cardinal-Oak Room; and Ault, 1:15 p.m., Union Cardinal-Oak Room.

Todd has served as a graduate assistant in UHDS since July 2017. She also owns Kirsen Todd Photography, and has worked as a graphic designer (student employee) for WIU Intercollegiate Athletics (2016-2017) and Campus Recreation (2015-2017). She is currently pursuing an MBA, and earned her bachelor's degree from WIU.

Huston has served as a chief clerk in engineering technology since June 2017. Previously, she was an advertising and public relations assistant for Studio 36 in Macomb (2016-2017) and as the business office manager for Jones Surveying in Macomb (2011-2015). She is currently pursuing a master's degree in educational studies, and earned her bachelor's degree from WIU.

Byers served as director of sales and marketing at Grand Prairie from 2017-2018. Previously, she was a public relations and marketing assistant at McDonough District Hospital (2015-2017) and a nutrition education/economic development AmeriCorps VISTA Program volunteer for the Macomb Food Co-op (2014-2015). She has also served as manager of Magnolia's in Macomb (2010-2015), and an adjunct instructor at Spoon River College and WIU's Department of Communication. She earned a master's degree in communication and a bachelor's degree from WIU.

Douglas has served as the legislative aide for Rep. Randy Frese since 2015. Previously, she was the community coordinator for the City of Quincy - Office of Planning and Development (2014-2015) and a legislative assistant for Rep. Norine Hammond (2012-2014). She earned her bachelor's degree from WIU.

Ault has served as an office manager at WIU since 2011. Previously, she was an office support specialist at WIU (2001-2011). She earned her MBA and her bachelor's degree from WIU.

The assistant director of marketing and communication coordinates, implements and evaluates marketing initiatives throughout all operations of the housing department. The assistant director also works closely with other campus offices to assist in the development of a University-wide integrated marketing plan.
