MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University History and Political Science Advisor Allison Ramsey has been named the February Academic Advisor of the month for February.

Ramsey was nominated for the award by six students and one administrator.

"Allison offered to meet up with me before school even started, and she has been amazing to work with ever since," said one student. "She genuinely cares about you and how you are and how you're doing in school and you can tell she loves her job because she makes it fun."

Another student called Ramsey "phenomenal to work with."

"She sets a standard for all other advisors," the student said. "She always puts her students first. I know firsthand she has stayed after her normal hours to help me schedule classes."

Each month, a WIU advisor is honored with a certificate and trophy. Award winners are decided by a committee that considers each of the applications for the month.
