Step Afrika! Comes to WIU April 3

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University will welcome Step Afrika! to campus at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

The dancers incorporate songs, storytelling, humor and audience participation with dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, African traditional dance and influences from a variety of other dance and art forms.

Step Afrika! promotes stepping as an educational tool, focusing on teamwork, academic achievement and cross-cultural understanding.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youth, senior citizens and WIU employees and free for WIU students with valid student identification.
