WIU College of Business and Technology Hosts Leadership and Engagement Symposium

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) will host the annual Business Leadership and Engagement Symposium Monday, April 8, sponsored by Citizens Bank, A Division of Morton Community Bank. Warren "Bunny" Weiss will present the keynote address, which is open free to the public.

The goal of the event is to motivate and engage CBT students, faculty and industry partners, as well as community members.

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., University Union Grand Ballroom – Corporate partner and scholarship luncheon.

2-3 p.m., University Union Grand Ballroom – Keynote address given by Weiss – CBT students, faculty, staff, corporate partners and community members are invited to attend. To RSVP, visit bit.ly/2UugoNq.

Weiss, who is a general partner at Foundation Capital with 25 years of experience in the software field, is a four-time CEO of venture backed companies. He was named to Forbes' Midas List of Technology's Top Investors for his work with SilverSpring Networks. He currently serves on the boards of Orkus, ForgeRock, Visier, Moxie Software and SilkRoad Technology, as well as the Weiss Scholarship Foundation, created in memory of Bernard and Elsie Weiss.

Weiss' keynote address will focus on emerging technologies for business and leadership and what it means to be a leader in an organization in transition.
