Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Concert April 12 at WIU

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Concert, featuring guest pianist William Kinderman, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Symphony Orchestra, conducted by WIU Associate Professor of Music Richard Hughey, will perform Mozart's "Overture to Die Zauberflöte," Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 1 op. 15, C Major," featuring Kinderman, and Stravinsky's "Suite from Firebird.O

Kinderman is a professor of musicology and faculty affiliate, Germanic Studies, at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

This performance is open free to the public.
