Choral Masterworks Concert 'Peace' April 13 at WIU

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the Choral Masterworks Concert "Peace" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Western Illinois University Singers, conducted by Assistant Professor of Music Brian Winnie, will perform Jake Runestad's "We Can Mend the Sky" and Peteris Vasks' "Dona Nobis Pacem." The Western Illinois University Concert Choir, under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Jason Hawkins, will perform Bob Chilcott's "MLK" and Connor Koppin's "I Dream a World." The choirs will combine to perform Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Serenade to Music." The program will also feature guest instrumentalists and vocalists.

This performance is open free to the public.
