WIU July 11-12 BOT Meetings Cancelled

UPDATE: Due to a quorum not being present for the Board of Trustees meetings scheduled for today (July 11) and Friday, July 12 at the WIU-Quad Cities Riverfront Campus, the meetings have been cancelled. Acting President Martin Abraham will continue to serve in this role until further notice. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held Oct. 3-4 in Macomb.

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will hold meetings Thursday-Friday, July 11-12 in Riverfront Hall, Rooms 103-104, on the WIU-Quad Cities campus in Moline. The WIU Board's open meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11. Overflow seating will be available in the Riverfront Hall Atrium and in Riverfront Hall Room 111.

The Board shall convene in a closed session beginning at 8 a.m. July 11 for the purpose of considering matters provided for in 5 ILCS 120/2c. The closed session will be held in Riverfront Hall 218.

At the July 11 meeting, the Board will consider the presidential contract and Academic Program Review recommendation. The Board will also hear reports on enrollment management. The Board shall convene in closed session in Riverfront Hall 218 following the conclusion of the July 11 open meeting for the purpose of considering matters provided for in 5 ILCS 120/2c.

The Board will reconvene in open session at 8 a.m. Friday, July 12 in Rooms 103-104. At the July 12 meeting, the Board will consider the University's organizational structure, as well as BOT committee assignments. Friday's meeting will also include reports on BOT goals, student costs, academic and non-academic organizational overviews and marketing.

Public comments will be held at the start of the meetings July 11 and July 12.
