WIU Summer Session 2020

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – As a result of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Western Illinois University is ensuring that all Summer 2020 courses will be available through a remote format. All on-campus events scheduled through June 30, 2020 have been canceled.

While the majority of WIU summer session classes are typically held online, all courses for Summer Session 2020 will be held via remote format. There will be no in person summer session courses. Summer Session 2020 courses available include offerings in general education, undergraduate and graduate courses and honors classes.

Olson Hall will be open for those students who need to stay on campus during the summer session, and food service will be provided.

Registration for current WIU students began March 25 for courses offered during the May pre-session; four-, six-, and eight-week sessions; weekend academies; and online options. Open registration for other students began April 1. Summer course offerings can be found at wiu.edu/registrar/courses-summer.php.

Summer camps and other activities scheduled for Summer 2020 through June 30, have been canceled. These include all events on both the Quad Cities and Macomb campuses, as well as all University activities and programs scheduled for off-campus sites. In addition, all WIU-sponsored study abroad trips have been canceled.
