WIU's Virtual Science Saturday Sept. 5

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Physics will host Virtual Science Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 over Zoom.

The event will include information about optical phenomena of refraction, mirages, the twinkling of stars and a cool method to image airflow around warm objects, as well as how to image airflow patterns, due to human exhalations when we speak, sneeze or cough and how masks help restrict virus spread.

Virtual Science Saturday is open to anyone and can be joined at wiu.zoom.us/j/9041035238. The event is co-organized by the WIU Physics and Optics Club.
