WIU to Begin Offering Online Political Science Degree This Fall

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University College of Arts and Sciences will begin offering a fully online bachelor's degree in political science in the upcoming fall semester. Classes at WIU begin Monday, Aug. 23.

The program applies to the general political science major, as well as the public administration/public policy option.

WIU Department of Political Science and History Chair Keith Boeckelman said the online option will offer a degree opportunity for place-bound students.

"This will expand opportunities for students throughout Illinois and beyond to pursue a high quality major in political science online," Boeckelman said. "We're excited to expand our program to this new audience."
