MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Multicultural Center (MCC), in conjunction with the Casa Latina Cultural Center, Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center, LGBT*QA Resource Center and the Women's Center, will host a Fall Open House from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 in the Multicultural Center across from the Union on the Macomb campus.

"We are excited to welcome students, faculty, staff and community members to the MCC for our Fall Open House on August 31! This is a great opportunity to meet our staff and students while learning more about our resources and how to get involved in our events and student organizations," WIU MCC Director Katy Gorsuch said.

At the event, students will gain insights on each center located within the MCC and have the opportunity to chat with members of student organizations to get information on how to get involved on campus, including upcoming events. Refreshments, games, music and prizes will be provided.

"The Open House is a great opportunity to come to the Multicultural Center and experience an atmosphere of belonging," said WIU MCC Assistant Director Leron Williams. "We welcome all students to this experience, and we look to expose them to the great organizations we house within the centers in the MCC."
