CMS to Offer Summer Music Camps 2024

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Community Music School (CMS) is accepting registrations for the 2024 Summer Music Camps. These half-day and full-day camps bring musical opportunities to children of all ages, with options for students with previous or no previous experience.

Registration is required and must be done by Wednesday, May 1 to receive a 20% early registration scholarship. Use the code "EARLY20" in the registration portal for eligibility.

The schedule of events include:

Week One - June 10-14
• Rocky's Pups Music Camp; ages 6-8; 9 a.m.-noon
• Rocky's Music Camp; ages 9-12; 9 a.m.-noon
• Instrument Exploration: Woodwinds & Percussion; ages 9-13; 1-3:30 p.m.
• Vocal Camp; ages 12-18; 9 a.m.-noon

Week Two - June 17-21
• Rocky's Music Camp; ages 9-12; 9 a.m.-noon
• Steel Band Camp; ages 9-12; 9 a.m.-noon
• Instrument Exploration: Brass & Strings; ages 9-13; 1-3:30 p.m.
• Piano Camp; ages 12-18; 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Week Three - June 24-28
• Strings Camp; ages 8-14; 9 a.m.-noon
• Band Camp; ages 12-18; 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Jazz Camp; ages 12-18; 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Jazz + Band Camp; ages 12-18 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Music Educator Brass Intensive; For college students and professional music educators; 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
