Shogren Named Employee of the Month

MACOMB, IL – The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Sue Shogren, secretary IV in Western’s mathematics department, has been selected as the February Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Shogren was described by her nominators as being organized, thorough and detail-oriented. In addition, her nominators added that “she treats every student, faculty member or visitor who comes to her for help with the same solicitude, professionalism and warm manner.”

Shogren started at Western in 1990 as a secretary III in Career Services. Four years later she was promoted to her current position.

“Sue does an outstanding job representing the department on and off campus,” said Janet Koll, CSEC public relations officer. “We are fortunate to have her as part of our employee team.”
