2005 CBT Distinguished Alumnus

MACOMB, IL A 1975 finance graduate will receive the Western Illinois University 2005 College of Business and Technology (CBT) Distinguished Alumnus Award this week.
Charles Carey, who will receive the award at a luncheon Friday, May 6, is a partner in the firm Henning and Carey. He began his career as a futures trader with the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange in 1976 and has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade since 1978. Carey is serving his second consecutive two-year term as chair of the Chicago Board of Trade. Under his leadership, the exchange has posted record volumes and soaring seat prices for full membership. Carey has been a consistent financial supporter of his alma mater over the years.
