MACOMB, IL – Keith W. Branham, assistant director of academic support services for the eastern region at the University of Central Florida, has been named director of Western Illinois University’s College of Business and Technology (CBT) Academic Advising Center, effective Jan. 1, 2006, according to CBT Dean Fred Ebeid.

Branham replaces Sue Danner who retired Sept. 1. He has served as assistant director at UCF since March 2001. Previously, he worked as an educational adviser, orientation coordinator and community liaison for Valencia Community College, Winter Park Campus. Branham has also worked as an immigration adviser, Berlitz-on-Campus at Stetson University; as the immigration and naturalization services coordinator at Biola University; and as an international students admissions assistant at Southern Nazarene University.

“Keith was selected from an excellent pool of applicants for the position. The committee, chaired by Kathleen Neumann, did an excellent job throughout the process and is to be complimented for their fine work,” Ebeid said. “With the help and support of the business and technology advisers, staff and faculty, I am confident that Dr. Branham will lead the advising center to its next level of excellence.”

Branham earned his Ed.D. from the University of Central Florida in 2005.
