MACOMB, IL -- Scientific evidence increasingly indicates that greenhouse gasses emitted as a result of human activities are responsible for global warming and associated global climate change. If commonly cited projections are correct, tremendous disturbances are likely to occur to both natural and human systems. Climate change thus is an issue with huge ethical implications.

To contribute to public discussion of this ethical issue, the Western Illinois University Program for the Study of Ethics will sponsor seven free showings of "An Inconvenient Truth" during the week of Monday-Friday, Jan. 29-Feb. 2. The showings are open free to the public.

Film times are: Monday, Jan. 29, 7-9 p.m., University Union Sandburg Theatre; Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2-4 p.m., Stipes Hall 121; Wednesday, Jan. 31, 9-11 a.m.,
Malpass Library Room 180, and 3:30-5:30 p.m., Morgan Hall 109; Thursday, Feb 1,9-11 a.m., Stipes Hall 121, and
7-9 p.m., Horn Field Campus; and Friday, Feb. 2,
9-11 a.m., Malpass Library 180.
