Ag Day Set for Nov. 3

MACOMB, IL -- Bring the entire family to the Saturday, Nov. 3 Western Illinois University Leathernecks game vs. Southern Illinois and get not only an exciting football match-up, but also activities for the entire family.

The WIU agriculture department will host "Ag Day" at the Nov. 3 game, complete with face-painting, a petting zoo, hay maze, corn pit (like a sandbox with corn), washers, beanbag toss, free throw competition, international agriculture diplays, a farm machinery exhibit, agriculture trivia, turf grass display and an global positioning display. Organic purple and gold popcorn, grown at the WIU Allison Farm, will be sold.

Ag Day activities will begin at 11 a.m. The Leathernecks kickoff is at 1:05 p.m.

The events, which are open free to the public, will be held at the north end of Hanson Field, in the discus and shot put area.
