MACOMB, IL -- Flapjack fan alert! Western Illinois University's chapter of the Collegiate Future Farmers of America (CFFA) will host its annual pancake and sausage breakfast from 7-11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 in Knoblauch Hall 239.

The CFFA's annual pancake breakfast helps raise money for Western's CFFA and AgEd Club, according to Mallory Swanson, organizer of this year's pancake breakfast event.

"The money we raise will help pay for workshops and other event expenses, such as travel," she noted.

WIU's CFFA chapter serves high school agricultural programs in Illinois and promotes scholarship, leadership and service for individuals who will be working in the agricultural industry, while Western's AgEd Club is an organization for WIU agricultural education majors.

"The AgEd Club strives to help individuals prepare for their teaching careers by developing professionalism, leadership and communication skills. Our members attend workshops and conduct fundraisers throughout the year," Swanson noted.

The CFFA's annual pancake breakfast is open to the public, and tickets are $5 prior to the event and $6 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any CFFA or AgEd Club member.
