Criminal Behavior Perception Lecture Set for Feb. 10 at Malpass

MACOMB, IL -- Perceptions of criminal behavior by perpetrators and by society will be the subject of a Western Illinois University Libraries-sponsored lecture by Reginald Adkisson, assistant professor and clinical psychologist in Western's psychology department. "Mirror, Mirror: How Society Sees Criminals, How They See Themselves" is slated for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the Leslie F. Malpass Library, room 180.

Adkisson, who earned his doctorate at Wichita State University, has extensive therapy and research experience examining views of criminal behaviors. His lecture will focus on two incarcerated individuals' (one is a serial killer and the other is a former member of a criminal gang) perceptions of antisocial behavior.
