WIU Presents "Ruthless.." Musical Farce March 30-April 2

MACOMB, IL – "Ruthless! The Musical" takes the stage at Western Illinois University Wednesday, March 30–Saturday, April 2 in the Horrabin Hall Theatre. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. nightly.

A presentation of Western Illinois University Theatre, "'Ruthless! The Musical' is a highly comical musical farce that charts the journey of a mother and daughter destined for careers on the mighty stage," said Director Marcus Olson, assistant professor of theatre and dance and head of Western's BFA musical theatre program.

"Pursuers of the dream of stardom will stop at nothing – even murder – to have their moments of glory become a reality. Top-notch WIU theatre students strut their musical, acting and dancing talents in this delightful and arch musical theatre show that will be sure to delight audiences of all stripes," Olson added.

Wednesday and Thursday shows are sold out. Tickets - $15 for the public, $13 for seniors and youth and free for WIU students with a valid ID - for Friday (April 1) and Saturday (April 2) shows can be ordered through the Hainline box office, telephone (309) 298-2900, from noon to 5 p.m. daily through 5 p.m. Friday. Tickets may also be purchased online at wiu.edu/theatre/boxoffice.php and click on "purchase your ticket online."
