Beta Alpha Psi to Host 23rd annual 'Meet the Firms' Career Fair

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University accountancy honorary organization Beta Alpha Psi will sponsor the 23rd Annual "Meet the Firms" Career Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 in the University Union Prairie Lounge on the WIU-Macomb campus. The event is being offered as part of the WIU College of Business and Technology's Career Week, which offers a full schedule of events specifically to help students prepare for today's competitive job market.

Students majoring in accounting and finance are invited to meet and talk with representatives from firms who are seeking interns and/or full-time employees. Professional dress is recommended and participants should bring a current resume.

"This small, targeted event allows students additional time with the recruiters and provides an excellent networking opportunity," said Cheryl Westen, WIU's Beta Alpha Psi faculty adviser. "Many students benefit from the relaxed atmosphere of the 'Meet the Firms' event. They can meet with company representatives and get to know them prior to the formal interview process."

Accenture LLP (seeking accounting majors); Archer Daniels Midland Company (seeking accounting majors); Becker Professional Review (seeking accounting majors); Caterpillar, Inc. (seeking accounting majors); Central States Fund (seeking accounting and finance majors); Clifton Gunderson LLP (seeking accounting majors); CPA Excel (seeing accounting majors); Gray Hunter Stenn LLP (seeking accounting majors); Growmark Inc. (seeking accounting and finance majors); Heinold-Banwart Ltd. (seeking accounting majors); Illinois CPA Society (seeking accounting majors); Illinois Office of the Auditor General (seeking accounting majors); John Deere (seeking accounting and finance majors); McGladrey (seeking accounting majors); and the US Social Security Administration (seeing accounting and finance majors).
