MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's Collegiate FFA chapter and Ag Mech Club are sponsoring a fundraising lawn mower clinic Saturday, March 31, on the WIU-Macomb campus.

According to Daniel Mitchell, a sophomore agriculture major from Colchester (IL), lawn mower owners can bring their mowers to the Ag Mechanics lab, located on the lower level of the north side of Knoblauch Hall, between 8-9 a.m. March 31. Mitchell said during the clinic student members of the clubs will change the oil, change the spark plug(s), clean/change the air filter, clean the mower deck and sharpen the blade for a fee of $25 for each push mower and $40 for each riding mower. Mitchell added that the mowers' owners will be able to pick up their mowers between noon-2 p.m. that same day.

All proceeds from the clinic will go toward supporting the activities of the WIU School of Agriculture's Collegiate FFA chapter and Ag Mech Club. An online map of the WIU-Macomb campus is available at www.wiu.edu/vpas/public_safety/parking/map.php. Knoblauch Hall is between the Beu Student Health Center and the University Union.
