WIU-QC Faculty Book Launch/Signing Sept. 15

MOLINE, IL -- Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Assistant Professor of Sociology Nancy Schaefer will appear at a chapbook launch party and book signing for her recently released poetry collection "In Search of Lode," from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Midwest Writing Center, 224 E. 2nd St. Suite 303, Davenport, IA.
Schaefer will also read collections from her new book. The event is open free to the public.
Schaefer has twice been a finalist for the Max J. Molleston Award in the Mississippi Valley Poetry Contest. She is a member of the Quint City Poets and the Rockford Writers' Guild, and her poems have appeared in The Rockford Review, Numinous Off Channel, Avocet, Outloud, In Other Words: Merida, Struggle and Women's Voices Journal.
"In Search of Lode," was released by 918studio Sept. 1 and can be purchased at the Midwest Writing Center or via Amazon.com.
