Panel Discussion on Voting Set for Tuesday at Western

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) will host a panel discussion on the importance of voting Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in the University Union Lamoine Room.

The panel, "Politics in 2012: The Importance of Voting to Sustain our Democracy," will be made up of non-partisan WIU faculty and students.

Panelists include: F. Erik Brooks, chair of the WIU Department of African American Studies; Jo-Ann Morgan, associate professor in the WIU Department of African American Studies, Macherie Placide, assistant professor in the WIU Department of Political Science, Michelle Baranauskis, senior journalism major and Ayesha Montgomery, senior, African American studies/political science major.

The panel moderator will be Kelsey Wolfe, senior journalism major.
