Associated Students of History to Present Gettysburg Panel Discussion at WIU

MACOMB, IL – The Associated Students of History, the student organization of Western Illinois University's Department of History, will sponsor a panel discussion Thursday, April 18 to commemorate several Civil War anniversaries.

The discussion, which runs from 5 – 6:15 p.m. in Morgan Hall, room 109, will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Address in "Remembering Gettysburg, 150 years Later: The Battle & the Address."

Panel members include WIU Professor Emeritus Larry Balsamo and Associate Professor Tim Roberts, both of the WIU Department of History.

The event is co-sponsored by the WIU Department of History and Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society.
