UVOWIS to Perform Saturday at WIU

MACOMB, IL - United Voices of Western Inspirational Singers (UVOWIS), a traditional gospel choir sponsored by the Western Illinois University Department of African American Studies, will present its Spring 2014 concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3 in the COFAC Recital Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
UVOWIS is a student organization with membership open to students, faculty, staff and community members who enjoy singing the music and the fellowship of the choir. WIU African American Studies Professor Alphonso Simpson, Jr. is the founder and director of the group.
