Scholastic Book Fair thru Nov. 14 in Horrabin Hall; Event Supports Too Little Children Foundation

MACOMB, IL — The Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) at Western Illinois University is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair this week to support the Too Little Children Foundation.

The Scholastic Book Fair runs from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. Nov. 10-14 in Horrabin Hall, near room 42.

According to WIU Dept. of Curriculum and Instruction Professor Mary Jensen, the book fair is part of a student-led effort to support the Too Little Children Foundation, a small organization set up to benefit children in Kenya, Africa.

The SCEC offers special education majors the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to participate in professional development activities. SCEC is affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children, the premier international professional organization in the field.
