Richard Voss Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A family visitation for retired Western Illinois University Assistant Professor Richard Voss, of Lewistown, IL, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. He passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20 in Lewistown.
Voss came to WIU in 1975 and taught marketing and finance until his retirement in 1998. Before coming to Western, he taught at Fort Hays Kansas State College and at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his bachelor's degree in business administration, his master's degree in business and law degree from the University of Nebraska.
While at WIU, Voss taught classes in banking, corporate finance and real estate law. He also authored numerous articles and papers based on his research and was a member of numerous professional business, finance and management associations.
