MACOMB, IL - Funeral services for former Western Illinois University computer science professor Jayne Schiek, 90, of Macomb, will be held Wednesday, April 22 at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb.

Schiek passed away Thursday, April 9 at her home. A family visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the church, followed by a 3 p.m. memorial service. From 4-6 p.m., a celebration of life will be held at Magnolia's in Macomb.

She received her master's degree in computer science from WIU in 1986 and was a professor of computer science at Western until her retirement in 1998.

As a member of numerous Macomb organizations, Schiek had a love for the arts. She was also an avid pilot and was commissioner of the Macomb Airport from 1984-2003.

Schiek is survived by her son, Thomas, and daughter, Tyri, as well as one granddaughter.
