Agriculture Faculty Member Receives FFA Honorary Degree

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University assistant agriculture professor Andrew Baker recently received the Illinois State FFA Honorary Degree at the Illinois FFA Convention in Springfield.

The Illinois State FFA Association selects individuals each year to receive the prestigious award based upon their dedication and commitment to the Illinois State FFA Association. Baker has assisted with the national and state officer selection processes, was a member of the Illinois State FFA Board of Directors, has conducted numerous state FFA competitions, and is active in state leadership activities associated with Illinois Agriculture Education.

He was most recently named as one of three delegate coordinators for the National FFA Organization, and serves as the adviser for WIU's Collegiate FFA organization. Baker has been a member of WIU's agriculture faculty since 1999.
