Dailey Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Assistant Professor Emeritus Robert H. Dailey, 85, of Macomb, passed away Monday, June 1 in Macomb.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb. Dailey's family will meet with friends following the ceremony.
Dailey taught physics at Western for 33 years, beginning in 1961 and retiring in 1994. He received his bachelor's degree and his master's degree in science from Western Illinois University.
While teaching at Western, Dailey participated in many continuing education seminars through the National Science Foundation Fellowship. Prior to coming to Western, Dailey taught at Belleville Junior College.
He was a member of Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society, Sigma Zeta Mathematics and Science Honor Society and American Association of Physics Teachers.
He is survived by his children, Robert, James and Jane, as well as seven grandchildren.
