Homeland Security Lecture Series Oct. 14, 21 and 26

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration (SLEJA) will host the annual Homeland Security Research Program lecture series in October.

Three speakers will discuss a wide-range of homeland security issues, including the FBI Joint-Terrorism Task Force; money laundering, bulk cash smuggling and organized criminal syndicates; and countering violent extremism. Speakers will include:

FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force representatives from Springfield (IL) and Chicago: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 in Morgan Hall, room 234.

Galesburg (IL) police officer Lane Miggs: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 in Stipes Hall, room 121.

Illinois criminal justice information authority and common good advocate Junaid Afeef: 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 in Stipes Hall, room 121.

All events are open free to the public.
