Become a Conversation Partner at WIU

MACOMB – Western Illinois University's Conversation Partners pairs the University's international students with U.S. students for friendly, informal, cultural sharing purposes.
Partners are expected to meet approximately once a week during the semester. Conversation Partners represents a wonderful cross-cultural learning and sharing opportunity with mutual benefits for both U.S. and international students.
The program gives participants a chance to expand their horizons, or sometimes even a chance to travel to other countries. It is a great opportunity for international students to learn more about American culture, customs and lifestyle.
In addition to the cultural experience, it is a great way to build a resume! Anyone who is interested in meeting and talking to people from other countries, contact CIS-Activities@wiu.edu.
